here’s an airplane shot called “myth of finger prints” … i’ve been making lot’s of new work, but haven’t had much time to finish things. it’s been a rather hectic end of winter for me, but i’m hoping to post an up to date portfolio soon - and few new projects that i’ve been working on. yay for spring!
all the works i’ve been posting are for sale, unless already sold - if anyone has any questions or would like to know more about certain posts - please don’t hesitate to email me … john@birdonthewall.com
here’s the cover i did for matt’s first record under the northcote name. check him out here - he’s lovely.
I am pleased to announce that the Marion Nickle “+15 gallery” at the Epcor center of performance arts in conjuction with this years sled island festival will be showcasing a drawing exibit that I’m putting together called “Canadian Sentimental”. It’s a collection of Canadian song quotes and imagery that will be shown there for the next two months. Public art rules, does it not?
thanks to the wonderful tiffany wollman, i have set up studio at the lower level in art central. i’m going to be there as much as i can, as well as continuing my work at the sign group i have plans to set up the chair on the concrete wall in the studio, and will be releasing details on an open house of sorts, where i hope to spend a weekend photographing people who care to drop by. i’ve been in talks with welikewelove magazine and we plan to publish some of these pictures for their 3rd issue. i feel refreshingly motivated currently, and look forward to what the summer may bring.

all i can listen to is bonnie prince billy, bon iver, land of talk and led zeppelin. keep listening to the cbc and hearing them talk about gangs and all that fear mongering what not. you got to give the kids something to do. they’re eager for some community, and your out dated city programs aren’t doing shit.
